Relief Scholarship Loan Amounts

The Relief Scholarship loan amount depends on the applicable faculty or programme. Some students may borrow the equivalent of one semester of school expenses, while the Faculty of Engineering Second Division uses a tuition-based calculation.

Loan amount equivalent to one semester of school expenses

For the Graduate School, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Future Science, and Faculty of System Design and Technology, the Relief Scholarship loan amount is equivalent to one semester of school expenses specified in the applicable school regulations. This rule applies to the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2025 and to the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in academic year 2025.

Calculation for the Faculty of Engineering Second Division

For the Faculty of Engineering Second Division, the Relief Scholarship loan amount consists of the basic tuition amount for the relevant semester, the variable tuition amount based on the number of credits you plan to take, and the equivalent of the educational enhancement fee.
