Relief Scholarship: Appointment Timing and Frequency

This page explains when Relief Scholarship students are appointed and how many times a student may be appointed during enrollment.

When appointments are made

Relief Scholarship students are appointed, in principle, every year in April or October. This applies to the 2025 academic year for the Faculty of Engineering Second Division, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, and for the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus. It also applies to the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2026 academic year.

How many times a student may be appointed

A student may be appointed to the Relief Scholarship once during their period of enrollment at each school. This limit is stated for the 2025 academic year for the Faculty of Engineering Second Division, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, and for the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus. It is also stated for the 2026 academic year for the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus.
