Student Support Benefit Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria

For the 2026 academic year, students may be selected for the Student Support Benefit Scholarship based on academic performance, financial hardship, emergency circumstances, or a determination by university officials, depending on their campus and faculty.

Tokyo Senju Campus: Faculty of Future Science

For the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, students may be selected if they have excellent academic performance, are experiencing financial hardship and difficulty paying tuition, or need financial support because of an accident, disaster, or similar event. A student may also be selected when the Director of the Student Support Center and the relevant Graduate School Committee Chair or Dean consult and determine that support is necessary.

Tokyo Senju Campus: Second Department of Engineering

For the Second Department of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, one of the scholarship selection conditions is excellent academic performance. Another condition is that the student needs financial support because of an accident, disaster, or similar event. A student may also qualify when the Director of the Student Support Center and the relevant Graduate School Committee Chair or Dean consult and determine that support is necessary.

Financial hardship and tuition difficulty

Being in financial hardship and having difficulty paying tuition is one of the scholarship selection conditions for students in the Second Department of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus and the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus.

Saitama Hatoyama Campus: Faculty of Science and Technology

For the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, students are selected from among those who meet at least one of the listed conditions. These conditions include excellent academic performance, needing financial support because of an accident, disaster, or similar event, and being determined to need support after consultation between the Director of the Student Support Center and the relevant Graduate School Committee Chair or Dean.
