Eligibility for the Student Relief Scholarship

This page explains the enrollment and other eligibility requirements for the Tokyo Denki University Student Relief Scholarship, including conditions that apply to specific faculties, campuses, and academic years.

Basic enrollment eligibility

The basic eligibility requirement is enrollment as a graduate student or undergraduate student. This requirement is stated for the following scopes: the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of System Design and Technology, the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Engineering, the 2025 academic year at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the School of Science and Technology, and the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus in the Faculty of Engineering, Evening Division.

Additional requirements at Tokyo Senju Campus

For the 2026 academic year in the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, applicants must be enrolled in Tokyo Denki University Graduate School or Tokyo Denki University, be motivated to achieve academically, and be in good physical and mental health. In addition, the applicant’s primary household supporter must have experienced a sudden financial change falling under a listed category. The applicant must be recognized as having difficulty paying educational expenses and as being able to continue their studies through the loan.

Other 2026 eligibility conditions

For the 2026 academic year in the School of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, applicants are selected from students enrolled in Tokyo Denki University Graduate School or Tokyo Denki University who are motivated to achieve academically, are in good physical and mental health, have difficulty paying educational expenses because of a sudden change in the financial circumstances of their primary household supporter, and are recognized as able to continue their studies through the loan. For the 2026 academic year in the Faculty of Engineering, Evening Division at Tokyo Senju Campus, the applicant must be recognized as able to continue their studies through the lending of the scholarship.
