Eligibility for the Tokyo Denki University Alumni Association Scholarship

This page explains which enrolled students may qualify and what financial circumstances are covered by this loan scholarship.

Who may be eligible

The scholarship is available to students enrolled in graduate school or an undergraduate faculty. It is a Tokyo Denki University Alumni Association loan scholarship, established in 1984, and is provided without interest to students whose continued study has become difficult because of a sudden change in their household’s financial circumstances.

Financial circumstances covered

A student may qualify when the student’s or guarantor’s circumstances make it difficult to pay tuition and other university fees. The scholarship also covers cases in which a sudden change in household financial circumstances makes continuing studies difficult. The scholarship is lent by the Tokyo Denki University Alumni Association; it is not described as a grant.
