Bicycle Parking Eligibility and Conditions

This page explains who may use the bicycle parking facility at Tokyo Senju Campus and the applicable distance and liability-insurance requirements.

Who may use the facility

Only regular students may use the bicycle parking facility. Non-degree course students, research students, and similar categories are not eligible. This eligibility rule is stated for the following scopes: the 2025 academic year for the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of System Design and Technology, and the Faculty of Engineering (Evening Division); and the 2026 academic year for the School of Future Science and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering (Evening Division).

Home-to-campus distance requirement

For the 2025 academic year in the Faculty of System Design and Technology, the listed bicycle-parking authorization condition is a walking distance from the student's home to Tokyo Senju Campus of at least 12 minutes and no more than 60 minutes. This corresponds approximately to 1,000 to 5,000 meters. The distance is calculated using Google Maps route calculation, and students meeting this condition are the target applicants. For the 2026 academic year in the Faculty of Engineering (Evening Division), the same distance range and Google Maps route-calculation standard apply.

Liability insurance requirement

Enrollment in liability insurance is a condition of using the bicycle parking facility and is mandatory for users. This requirement is stated for the 2025 academic year in the Faculty of System Design and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering (Evening Division), and for the 2026 academic year in the School of Future Science and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering (Evening Division).
