Academic Dismissal for Very Poor Performance

Students may be dismissed when their academic performance is particularly poor and there is no prospect of improvement. The applicable scope differs by academic year, faculty, and division.

2026 Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science and Engineering

For the 2026 academic year, a student in the Faculty of Engineering at the Tokyo Senju Campus or the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus is subject to dismissal when academic performance is particularly poor and there is no prospect of improvement.

Faculty of Engineering

For the 2025 academic year, a student in the Faculty of Engineering at the Tokyo Senju Campus is subject to dismissal when academic performance is particularly poor and there is no prospect of improvement.

Engineering Faculty, Second Division

For the Engineering Faculty, Second Division at the Tokyo Senju Campus, a student is subject to dismissal when academic performance is particularly poor and there is no prospect of improvement. This applies to the 2025 and 2026 academic years covered by the respective rules.
