Limits on Credits Recognized from External Study and Other Institutions

Credits from external study, other faculties, and other universities

For students outside the EJ department in the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, credits earned through the relevant study system, together with credits earned at other universities or similar institutions, may not exceed 60 credits.

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Engineering Faculty students outside the EJ department are subject to a combined maximum of 60 credits for credits earned through courses in other faculties or departments and credits earned at other universities or similar institutions.

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Second Division Engineering Faculty students may not count more than 60 credits in total from courses taken in other faculties or departments and courses taken at other universities or similar institutions.

Combined limit for recognized or awarded credits

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Systems Design and Technology Faculty, and the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Engineering Faculty, credits granted under Article 29, paragraph 1, together with credits treated as earned at the University under Article 28, paragraphs 1 and 2, may not exceed 60 credits.

Except in cases such as transfer admission, for credits not earned at the University, the combined total of credits treated as earned at the University under the cited external-study provisions and credits recognized or awarded under the cited recognition provisions may not exceed 60 credits.

Credits recognized before admission

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, Second Division Engineering Faculty, except in cases such as transfer admission, the credits recognized or awarded under the two pre-admission provisions, together with credits treated as earned at the University under the cited external-study provisions, may not exceed 60 credits.
