Circumstances That May Lead to Removal from the University

The rules below describe removal from the university for prolonged unreported absence and, in one faculty, especially poor academic performance.

Removal conditions by campus, faculty, and academic year

For the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, a student is removed from the university if they are absent continuously for three months or more without a valid reason and without notification. A student whose academic performance is particularly poor and for whom improvement is not expected is also removed.

For the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in academic year 2025, a student is removed if they are absent continuously for three months or more without a valid reason and without notification.

For the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus in academic year 2026, a student who is absent continuously for three months or more without a valid reason and without notification is subject to removal from the university.
