Course Enrollment Caps and Selection

Some courses may limit enrollment when demand exceeds available capacity. This page explains when limits may apply and how students may be selected.

2025 Enrollment Limits

For courses offered at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the School of Science and Technology in the 2025 academic year, an enrollment cap may be applied by lottery or at the discretion of the course instructor. As a result, you may be unable to enroll in a course you want to take.

2026 Enrollment Limits and Selection

For the 2026 academic year at the Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the School of Science and Technology, course registration is accepted through UNIPA and other systems. However, enrollment may be limited for a course when students are concentrated in the same class period and the number of students exceeds the available capacity because of classroom or other constraints. The enrollment limit may be determined by lottery or by the course instructor, so you may be unable to enroll in a course you want to take.
