Course Planning, Graduation Requirements, and Semester Registration
Plan your courses through graduation, use the appropriate curriculum references, and complete semester registration based on your faculty, department, academic year, and curriculum track.
Plan courses and register each semester
Make a course plan through graduation and register for courses each semester. Plan your course-taking so that you meet the graduation requirements early. For students in the Science and Engineering Faculty at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, the guidance also emphasizes deciding on desired courses in advance before beginning the computer-based registration process and completing the registration promptly.
Use curriculum models to meet progression and graduation requirements
When planning your courses in the Science and Engineering Faculty at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, allow sufficient time to meet the progression and graduation requirements established by your academic group. The guidance also recommends considering the relationship between common academic-group subjects and specialist subjects, as well as the number of credits required for progression and graduation. Use the course placement chart to understand how subjects relate to the two courses.
For four-year planning in the Electronic and Information Engineering curriculum model, review the course placement chart and the online syllabus and take the required subjects. The curriculum models provided on the pages for each academic group, common education subjects, and specialist education subjects, including specialist foundation subjects, are also references for planning. In the Mathematical Information course, the recommended plan balances the credits needed for progression and graduation with personal development subjects, English subjects, and subjects from the main and secondary courses.
Check course categories and planning references
Courses are categorized as required, elective, or free-choice subjects and are allocated to particular academic years. The courses are established under the regulations of each faculty.
For the Future Science Faculty, use the curriculum map, course allocation table, syllabus, and guidance given at the first class meeting when planning and registering for courses.
For the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department in the Faculty of Engineering, use the following tables when making your plan: Table I, which shows the credits required for the learning and education objectives and the courses that must be completed; Table II, which provides the recommended course model by field; and Table III, which shows the graduation credits required for each category.
