Using Qualifications for Course Credit Recognition
This page explains which qualification-based credits may be recognized, whether you must enroll in the corresponding course, and how recognized credits are treated under the course registration credit limit.
Eligible qualifications and equivalent examinations
For the 2026 academic year, students in the Department of Information Media may have credits recognized for specialist subjects based on qualifications they have obtained. The subjects covered, corresponding qualifications, and grades are specified in the relevant table. If the examination system changes, information-technology qualification examinations judged to be equivalent to or higher than the examinations listed above are also eligible for credit recognition. Ask the head of the department which qualifications meet this condition.
Whether you must enroll in the corresponding course
For the 2025 academic year, students in the Department of Information Media who receive credit recognition based on a qualification do not need to enroll in the subject for which the credit is recognized. For the 2026 academic year, the same applies to students in the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics: they do not need to take the corresponding subject when receiving qualification-based credit recognition.
