Insurance Coverage for Research Activities

This page explains that the insurance does not provide a surgery benefit and describes separate insurance recommended for hazardous experiments in graduation research and similar activities.

Surgery benefit

The insurance does not pay a surgery benefit. This applies to the 2025 Tokyo Senju Campus scope for the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology and the 2026 scope for the Second Division of the Faculty of Engineering.

Additional insurance for hazardous experiments

When graduation research or similar work involves hazardous experiments, the university recommends obtaining separate insurance coverage. For the 2025 Tokyo Senju Campus scope for the Faculty of Engineering and the 2026 scope for the Second Division of the Faculty of Engineering, students who are unsure should consult the Student Support Center's Student Welfare desk.
