Conditions for Copying Library Materials Without Permission

For Engineering students at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2026 academic year, library materials may be copied without the copyright holder’s permission only when all conditions set by copyright law are satisfied.

Main conditions for copying

Copyrighted works generally require the copyright holder’s permission to be copied. However, copying library-held materials without permission is allowed when all conditions established by copyright law are satisfied. The main conditions described here are that the copying is for research or study, only part of the work is copied, and no more than one copy is provided to each person.
