Scholarship Repayment After Loss of Eligibility

Repayment rules differ depending on the reason for losing scholarship eligibility and the applicable campus, faculty, and academic year.

Loss of eligibility for specified reasons

For students in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the 2026 academic year, when a scholarship recipient loses eligibility for one of the specified reasons, the scholarship already provided may be subject to repayment.

Loss of eligibility because of false statements

For students in the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2025 academic year, anyone who loses scholarship eligibility because of false statements must return the full amount of the scholarship already provided to the university.
