Managing Course Conflicts When Retaking a Course

The rules for overlapping or same-period courses during a retake differ by academic scope. The applicable rules for 2025 are outlined below.

Designated overlapping courses for retake students

At Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the Faculty of Science and Technology in 2025, a designated overlapping course is a course for which overlapping enrollment may be permitted for students retaking a course, provided that conditions such as guidance from the course instructor outside class hours are met.

Required-course retakes and same-period classes

In 2025, for the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics in the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, if you retake a required course in the following academic year, you cannot take a course for your current academic year that is offered during the same class period.
