Evaluation Assigned to Recognized Credits: RN

Recognized prior, common-education, general-education, and specialized-course credits are recorded as RN in the specified faculties and academic years. RN means that the credit has been recognized.

What RN means

RN means "recognized." It is used when credits from a qualification or from another university or similar institution are recognized.

Recognized credits in 2025

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, recognized common-education credits in the Faculty of Engineering are assigned RN. In the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology, previously earned common-education credits are also assigned RN.

Recognized credits in 2026

For the 2026 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, recognized general-education prior credits in the Faculty of Engineering are assigned RN. In the Faculty of Advanced Sciences, previously earned credits are recognized with an RN evaluation regardless of the year in which the courses are allocated. In the Faculty of Systems Design and Technology, recognized general-education credits and specialized-education credits for transfer students are assigned RN.
