What to Bring and Display at Examinations

This page explains the student ID and examination ticket requirements for regular, makeup, and re-examinations at the specified campuses, faculties, and academic years.

Student ID requirements

Bring or carry your student ID card whenever you take an examination. For the 2025 Engineering Faculty and System Design Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, forgetting your student ID prevents you from entering the campus. The 2026 Future Science Faculty rule at Tokyo Senju Campus likewise states that forgetting it prevents campus entry. For the 2025 and 2026 Science and Engineering Faculty at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, the rule requires you to carry your student ID card for every examination.

Displaying your student ID during an examination

For the 2026 System Design Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, enter the examination room by the scheduled time and keep your student ID card on the desk throughout the examination. For the 2025 System Design Engineering Faculty at the same campus, the student ID card must be displayed in a clearly visible position on the aisle side of the desk. A 2025 Tokyo Senju examination rule also specifies this visible, aisle-side placement for the student ID card.

Makeup and re-examinations

In addition to the student ID requirement, candidates taking a makeup or re-examination must place or keep their examination ticket on the desk. This requirement applies to the 2025 Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, the 2026 Future Science Faculty and System Design Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, and the 2025 and 2026 Science and Engineering Faculty at Saitama Hatoyama Campus. For the 2026 Future Science Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, an examination ticket may be issued only when special permission has been granted.
