Recognition of Credits from Courses Outside Your Department
Courses taken in another department or faculty may be recognized as credits from your own department under rules that vary by academic year and faculty.
Engineering Faculty: Recognition Requires Faculty Approval
For students in the Engineering Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2025 academic year, credits earned from courses taken in another department of the Engineering Faculty or in a department of another faculty may be treated as credits earned through courses in the student's own department if the faculty council recognizes them as educationally beneficial. The same rule applies to Engineering Faculty students at the same campus in the 2026 academic year, with recognition made by the faculty committee.
Faculty-Specific Rules for Recognized Courses and Credits
For students in the System Design and Technology Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2025 academic year, the courses and number of credits that may be treated as earned in the student's own department are determined by the faculty. For students in the Second Division of the Engineering Faculty at the same campus and in the same academic year, the faculty determines the applicable courses and number of credits.
