Course and Credit Recognition After Readmission

This page explains how common education, human sciences, and specialized education subjects are recognized when you are readmitted.

Common Education Courses and Grades

For readmission to the Faculty of Engineering, the School of Science and Technology, or the School of System Design and Technology, common education courses are recognized regardless of the year to which they were assigned. The credits are counted in the readmission destination’s credit total. Grades are evaluated as RS, RA, RB, or RC. The destination department may instead evaluate them as RN.

Human Sciences Courses

For readmission to the Faculty of Engineering, the School of Science and Technology, or the School of System Design and Technology, human sciences courses in the Technical Culture and Global Culture fields are recognized by course correspondence. Other human sciences courses are recognized comprehensively.

Specialized Education Subjects

For readmission to the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Future Science, or the Faculty of System Design Engineering, specialized education subjects are recognized by subject correspondence. If correspondence cannot be established, the destination department may decide to recognize the subjects comprehensively.
