Recognition of Previously Earned Transfer Credits

This page explains how specialized education credits and grades are recognized after transfer, including course equivalence and courses that cannot be matched.

Recognition of specialized-course credits and grades

For transfers from the Faculty of Engineering Second Division to the Faculty of Engineering, the School of Science and Technology, or the School of System Design and Technology, specialized education courses are recognized through course correspondence and included in the receiving faculty's credit total, regardless of the year level assigned to the course. Grades are evaluated as RS, RA, RB, or RC. The receiving department may instead evaluate them as RN.

Recognition of previously earned specialized education credits

Previously earned credits for specialized education courses are recognized through course equivalence, regardless of the assigned year level, using the credit value of the receiving program. The evaluation is RN. If a previously completed course cannot be matched to a specialized education course at the receiving institution, the receiving department may grant comprehensive credit recognition at its discretion.
