Academic Year and Semester Dates

This page explains the academic year, semester periods, and annual instruction period for the specified faculties, campuses, and academic years.

Academic Year

The academic year runs from April 1 through March 31 of the following year. This applies to the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus for the 2025 and 2026 academic years. The same dates apply to the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus for the 2025 academic year and to the Faculty of System Design Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus for the 2025 academic year.

Semester Dates

The academic year is divided into two semesters. The first semester runs from April 1 through September 4, and the second semester runs from September 5 through March 31 of the following year. For the 2025 academic year, these dates apply to the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saitama Hatoyama Campus and the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus. They also apply to the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, at Tokyo Senju Campus.

Annual Instruction Period

For the 2025 academic year, the period of instruction is generally set at 35 weeks for the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus.
