Planning Your Study Abroad Programme

Study abroad options vary in length and may require substantial preparation. This guidance explains programme durations, English preparation, and pre-departure course advising.

Programme options and planning

For 2026 students in the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus, language study programmes at overseas partner institutions and other destinations vary from about three weeks to less than one year. Plan your programme after carefully considering the necessary preparation.

English preparation before departure

Some destinations have English-language requirements. Meeting these requirements normally takes at least one year of preparation. This applies to 2026 students in the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, and the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus.

Pre-departure course advising

For 2026 students in the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, at Tokyo Senju Campus, before studying abroad you must receive course guidance from your department and the administrative office of Tokyo Senju Campus. This guidance covers the courses you wish to take at the host university or other institution, as well as your course registration at Tokyo Denki University.
