Rules on Alcohol Use by Students Under 20
Students under 20 may not drink alcohol. Encouraging underage drinking or overlooking it is also described as a serious illegal act.

People under 20 years old may not drink alcohol, including university students. It is a serious illegal act for a person under 20 to drink alcohol, for someone to encourage a person under 20 to drink, or for someone to overlook underage drinking.
2026: Saitama Hatoyama Campus, Faculty of Science and Engineering
A person under 20 may not drink alcohol. It is also described as a serious illegal act for a person under 20 to drink, for someone to encourage a person under 20 to drink, or for someone to overlook underage drinking.
