License Requirements for a Boiler Handling Operation Chief

Required License by Boiler Conditions

For work involving boilers with a total heating surface of 25 m² or more but less than 500 m², a Boiler Handling Operation Chief must be appointed from among holders of either a Special-Class or First-Class Boiler Engineer License. This rule also applies when only once-through boilers are handled and their total heating surface is 500 m² or more. For work involving boilers with a total heating surface of 500 m² or more, a Special-Class Boiler Engineer License is required, except when only once-through boilers are handled.
