Statutory Credit Requirements for Article 66-6 Subjects

Required credits for each subject category

For the 2026 academic year, the following subject categories specified in Article 66-6 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Educational Personnel License Act each require a statutory minimum of 2 credits: the Constitution of Japan, physical education, foreign-language communication, mathematics and data utilization and artificial intelligence, or operation of information equipment. For both license types, the university-offering column is marked: "Common to middle and high school; see the next page."
