Credit Substitution for the Senior High School Industrial Teaching License

For students seeking the regular senior high school teaching license in Industrial Studies, certain education-related course credits may be substituted with credits in specialist subjects related to the licensed subject.

Permitted credit substitution

Under Note 6 of the table in Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Act on Certification of Educational Personnel as amended in 2017, students seeking the regular senior high school teaching license in Industrial Studies may, for the time being, earn all or part of the credits for courses on teaching methods for each subject and courses concerning the basic understanding of education for teachers, among other specified courses, through courses covering specialist subjects related to the subject of the license.
