Applying for End-of-First-Semester Evaluation of a Full-Year Course

This page explains who may apply, which full-year courses are eligible, and how to submit the required application for graduation at the end of the first semester.

Eligibility and eligible courses

Students who wish to graduate at the end of the first semester and receive an end-of-first-semester evaluation for a full-year course must complete this procedure. The course must be a full-year course that the student took and attended for at least one year by the previous academic year, received a grade for, and failed to pass. Both required and elective courses are eligible.

Required procedure for students retaking a course

A student whose graduation was postponed from the previous academic year and who is retaking a full-year course must complete the course-registration procedure and also submit the prescribed application for end-of-first-semester evaluation of a full-year course. The application form is available from the Tokyo Senju Campus Administrative Office, Academic Affairs. The supplied information identifies this form and procedure for the relevant retaking cases; no additional details beyond the stated requirements are provided for some cases.

Submission timing, copies, and approval

Submit the prescribed application during the first-semester course-registration period. Submit one copy for each course to the Tokyo Senju Campus Administrative Office, Academic Affairs, and complete all required fields. For the procedures described for the relevant 2025 Future Science and 2026 Second Division Engineering cases, approval from the course instructor is required before submission. The approval or rejection decision will be announced later by posting. Credits earned in the course are counted toward the credits required for graduation regardless of whether graduation at the end of the first semester is approved.
