Architect Programme Completion and Examination Eligibility

This page explains which architect examinations are linked to the Architect Programme, how completion is recognized, and how its requirements differ from standard course progression requirements.

Examination eligibility after completing the programme

For students in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, completing the Architect Programme is required to obtain eligibility for the First-Class Architect, Second-Class Architect, and Wooden Building Architect examinations. Examination eligibility is granted only when the Architect Programme has been completed at the time of graduation. The programme is associated with these three architect qualifications. These provisions are stated for the 2025 and 2026 academic years.

Programme completion and credit requirements

Students who graduate after meeting the conditions shown in the relevant table are recognized as having completed the Architect Programme, and this completion is recorded on their graduation certificate. For the 2026 academic year, Subjects 1–9 require at least 30 credits for the First-Class Architect category and at least 10 credits for the Second-Class Architect and Wooden Building Architect categories. The 2025 academic-year information likewise states that meeting the conditions in the table leads to recognition as an Architect Programme completer and notation on the graduation certificate.

Separate criteria from course progression

The Architect Programme is an educational curriculum provided separately from the course. It has criteria distinct from the course's progression requirements. Students following the Architectural and Urban Environment Study Model must therefore meet the programme's separate criteria in addition to the course progression requirements.
