This page explains the approval requirements for early graduation and the condition for continuing graduation research.

Approvals for Early Graduation

For the 2025 academic year, early graduation eligibility differs by faculty and campus. In the Faculty of Advanced Science and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus and the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus, students must be judged suitable for early graduation by both the department head and the faculty dean. In the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, approval from both the academic-system head and the faculty dean must be obtained. For the 2026 academic year in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Saitama Hatoyama Campus, approval from both the academic-system head and the faculty dean is also required.

Approval to Continue Graduation Research

In the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo Senju Campus in the 2025 academic year, a student becomes subject to the department-specific early graduation requirements only when the department head has approved the student’s continuation of graduation research at the end of the first semester of the third year.
