Changing to the Working Adult Programme

This page explains who may change to the Working Adult Programme, the application documents and submission process, and the deadline for changing affiliation.

Eligibility and deadline

Students in the general student course who meet the qualifications specified in Article 4 may be permitted to change to the Working Adult Programme (Practice-Based Knowledge Focus) after submitting a request and receiving consideration by the Faculty of Engineering Second Division Steering Committee. A change of affiliation is permitted only up to entry into the third year. A change at entry into the fourth year is not permitted because the graduation-credit requirements differ.

Required documents

For the 2025 academic year, applicants must submit an application form, documents certifying employment or other work status, and any other documents that the faculty considers necessary. These documents must be submitted within the designated application period.

Application process for the 2026 academic year

For the 2026 academic year, students in the general student course may request a change to the Working Adult Programme. The change may be approved after consideration by the Faculty of Engineering Second Division Steering Committee. Students who wish to change affiliation should submit the required change request form to the Academic Affairs Office of Tokyo Senju Campus. Details will be announced through UNIPA notices and other channels in early March.

Application procedure at admission

For students who wish to change to the Working Adult Programme at the time of admission, attend the guidance session held in early April and then submit the Working Adult Programme Registration Application Form to the Academic Affairs Office of Tokyo Senju Campus. The application form will be provided at the guidance session. The change of affiliation is approved after selection.
