Scholarship Repayment After Loss of Eligibility

This page explains when scholarship recipients may have to repay scholarship funds after losing eligibility, including cases involving false statements.

Repayment after losing scholarship eligibility

For the 2025 academic year at Tokyo Senju Campus, a scholarship recipient who loses eligibility on a listed ground may be required to repay scholarship funds already paid. If the Director of the Student Support Center consults with the relevant committee chair or faculty dean and the President determines that the recipient is unsuitable, the recipient must repay the full amount of scholarship already received to the university without delay. For the Future Science Faculty, a recipient who loses eligibility for one of the relevant reasons must repay the full amount already paid to the university.

Repayment after false statements

For scholarship recipients in the System Design Engineering Faculty in the 2025 academic year, losing eligibility because of false statements in application documents or similar materials requires repayment to the university of the full amount of scholarship already paid.
