When Relief Scholarship Eligibility Can Be Cancelled

Relief Scholarship eligibility may be cancelled when a student is deemed unsuitable because of withdrawal or removal from the register, disciplinary action, or conduct inappropriate for a scholarship student.

Circumstances that may lead to cancellation

Relief Scholarship eligibility is cancelled when a student is deemed unsuitable as a Relief Scholarship student and one of the applicable grounds is present. These grounds include:

- withdrawing from the University or being removed from the register; - receiving disciplinary action for violating University regulations; or - engaging in conduct considered inappropriate for a Relief Scholarship student.

For the 2026 Future Science Faculty rules, these grounds are stated separately: withdrawal or expulsion, disciplinary action for violating University regulations, and inappropriate conduct. If any listed circumstance applies and the student is deemed unsuitable, the scholarship status is cancelled.

For the 2025 System Design Engineering Faculty rules, disciplinary action for violating University regulations includes actions such as withdrawal or removal from the register, suspension, or reprimand. Such action is a ground for loss of eligibility when the student is considered unsuitable as a scholarship student.
