When Student Support Grant Scholarship Eligibility Is Lost

This page explains circumstances that may cause loss of eligibility for the Student Support Grant Scholarship, including disciplinary action, leave of absence, false statements, poor academic performance, and poor conduct.

Tokyo Senju Campus: Engineering (Evening Division) and Future Science

For the 2026 academic year, scholarship eligibility may be lost if you receive disciplinary action under university regulations, including withdrawal or expulsion, suspension, or reprimand. Eligibility may also be lost if you take a leave of absence during the academic year in which you receive the grant. The applicable rules also provide that the Director of the Student Support Center may determine that a student is unsuitable as a scholarship student. False statements or other false information in documents submitted to the university are also grounds for loss of eligibility.

Saitama Hatoyama Campus: Faculty of Science and Technology

For the 2025 and 2026 academic years, eligibility may be lost if you take a leave of absence during the academic year in which you receive the grant, receive disciplinary action under university regulations, or submit documents containing false statements or other false information. Disciplinary action includes withdrawal or expulsion, suspension, and reprimand. Poor academic performance or poor conduct is also a ground for loss of eligibility. The applicable rules further provide that the Director of the Student Support Center may determine that a student is unsuitable as a scholarship student. Eligibility is lost when a student falls under any applicable ground and the Director makes that determination.
