Credit Milestones Before Fourth-Year Study and Job Hunting
Credit targets differ by curriculum track. The guidance below explains the recommended milestones before upper-year study, research activities, and job hunting.
Electronic Information and Biomedical Engineering Track
For fourth-year students to engage fully in research and job hunting, students are expected to have earned at least 120 credits from subjects offered in the first through third years. This is separate from the 104-credit minimum required for advancement.
Mechanical Engineering Track
The credits required for advancement are a minimum line. Students should aim to take subjects in a balanced way and earn at least 80 credits by the end of the second year. Although 104 credits is the minimum for advancement, earning around 120 credits by the end of the third year is desirable for undertaking fourth-year research activities and job hunting.
