Course Planning Across Semesters and Academic Years
Plan your course load carefully to avoid credit shortages, maintain a balanced workload, and complete courses in the academic year to which they are assigned.
Avoiding credit shortages
Register with sufficient room in your course plan so that you do not run short of credits in later years. For the 2026 academic year, students in the Faculty of Engineering, Second Division, at Tokyo Senju Campus may register for up to 24 credits per semester. For the 2025 academic year, students in the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus may register for up to 22 credits per semester.
Balancing your workload and completing assigned-year courses
For the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics in the Faculty of Future Science at Tokyo Senju Campus during the 2025 academic year, plan your studies so that the workload is not unevenly concentrated in particular academic years. It is also important to earn credits for courses assigned to your current academic year. Failing courses may require substantial changes to your course plan.
Planning semester courses across the academic year
For the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus in the 2026 academic year, courses designated I and II, as well as courses designated A and B, are each offered for one semester. However, plan your course load for these courses as though they were yearlong courses.
