Annual Reviews and Changes to Student Support

Student support is reviewed annually in some programmes, and the result may affect tuition reductions, scholarship payments, or support categories. Scholarship eligibility may also be lost under specified conditions.

How annual reviews can affect support

For the 2025 academic year, students in the Future Science Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus undergo an academic performance and income review once a year. Tuition reductions and scholarship payments may be suspended or discontinued as a result. The reduction and payment period lasts no longer than the end of the shortest standard period of study, which is four years.

For the 2026 academic year, students in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Saitama Hatoyama Campus undergo a review of academic performance and household finances once a year. Depending on the result, support may be suspended, discontinued, or moved to a different support category.

For the 2025 academic year, students in the Faculty of System Design and Technology at Tokyo Senju Campus also undergo an academic performance and income review once a year. Tuition reductions and scholarship payments may be suspended or discontinued.

When scholarship eligibility may be lost

For the 2025 academic year in the Future Science Faculty at Tokyo Senju Campus, a scholarship student loses eligibility if they fall under any of the items listed in Article 5, paragraph 1, and are consequently determined to be unsuitable as a scholarship student.
